About MPG
Marketing can be one of the most collaborative professions, yet many of us spend our days as the only marketer in the room or on teams too small to learn from one another every day. Marketing Professionals of Greenville was created to change that. We believe that great ideas grow through conversation, shared experiences, and genuine relationships. Our goal is simple: to create a welcoming community where marketers across the Upstate can connect, learn, and grow together.
Meet the Co-founders
Alana is a marketing strategist, communicator, and lifelong believer that the best ideas come from bringing people together. After years of attending high-level conferences, joining vaguely educational webinars, and wondering when the impostor syndrome will go away, she saw an opportunity to create something different: a place where Greenville’s marketers could connect, learn from one another, and build genuine relationships.
Today, Alana leads marketing for Banker Exchange while helping grow Marketing Professionals of Greenville into a welcoming community for marketers at every stage of their careers. Whether she’s planning an event, building a website, or brainstorming the next big idea over coffee, she’s happiest when she’s creating spaces where people can learn, collaborate, and leave feeling inspired.
Blair Duncan is the Director of Marketing at Freedom Commercial, a boutique commercial real estate brokerage serving South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia, where she has built the firm’s marketing and brand infrastructure from the ground up. Her path into marketing was anything but conventional; she spent nearly three years as an elementary school teacher before transitioning into commercial real estate, first as a transaction coordinator turned marketing specialist at Reedy Property Group, and is now leading brand strategy, content, and digital presence for Freedom Commercial. Beyond her day-to-day role, Blair takes on freelance social media and content work for local businesses. She co-founded Marketing Professionals of Greenville to build a community where local marketers can connect, learn from one another, and grow together.
Why MPG?
Whether you’re launching your first campaign, leading a marketing department, freelancing, or wearing the marketing hat for your own business, everyone benefits from having people to learn from.
MPG brings together marketers from different industries, specialties, and career stages because some of the best ideas come from conversations you weren’t expecting. We want to create opportunities to ask questions, share wins, tackle challenges, and build relationships that continue long after the event ends.
